Indian Navy scripts history, allows women to join its elite special force Marcos

In a historic move, the Indian Navy has decided to open the doors of its elite special forces to women. This will allow women to serve as Marine commandos.

They are trained to carry out intense covert operations against enemy warships, specialised in diving operations, surveillance and reconnaissance missions, installations of offshore assets and supporting naval operations.
