E-commerce transforms lives of rural women in Chhattisgarh
Rajnandgaon (Chhattisgarh), Aug 13 (ANI): Women in rural Chhattisgarh’s Rajnandgaon use e-commerce to sell their products beyond the rural borders. Under the banner of Godhan Nyay Yojana, the women Self Help Group came together to buy and collect cow dung from the village and turned it into compost, vermin compost, diya and pot. The group of 30 women has sold products worth Rs 55,000 online since May 2021. With every woman earning around Rs 6-8 thousand a month, the scheme has made women independent both socially and economically. The Self Help Group has sold Rs 5 lakh worth of products to local farmers so far.
